Year 2007 Shahzada, that didn't happen
the ULTIMATE TEST in HORSEMANSHIP
The 27th Shahzada, 27th to 31st August 2007
Held annually in historic St Albans, NSW, Australia.
07entry, Updated 1945, 23rd August 2007
The problem of flooding of Wollombi Road in The St Albans Common is over,
the water level has now dropped below the road surface. The Wollombi Road is however still very
slippery and not reccomended for floats and trailers.
Tom Perkins commented (23/8/07) that the
Wollombi Road is only suitable for 4WD if you are towing a caravan or Float and not very
suitable for 2WD vehicles, its still very slippery after the flood. Also there is a fallen tree
partially blocking Wollombi Road about 2 km north of the Common.

20/8/07, Shahzada public address is operational on 90.9 FM. Most car radios will start to
receive the 90.9 transmission about 5km out of the village. The channel will be silent until
there is a PA announcement.
Participation in the 400 km Shahzada is a unique experience for qualified endurance riders
while the two Single Day 80 and the 3 day training ride allow riders to "sample" the spirit of
the marathon event.
Riders, Strappers and friends are reminded to bring a
radio to receive the Public Address announcements outside the vetting area on 90.9MHz FM,
(Licence has been received from ACMA).
The ROAD CONDITIONS REPORT last updated on 20/8/07.
The flood affected roads in the valley are greatly improved thanks to the efforts of the
council road crews.
